My Marketing Story!

Once upon a time, many moons ago, it all  began as a twinkle in my eye. There was this small cute lingerie boutique. It was on a busy street, but not a busy area. You may see it driving by but, unless you were walking or pulled over to check it out, it could almost be as if it wasn’t there. This was a unique boutique because there weren’t any lingerie boutiques besides Victoria’s secret and the exotic dancer stores in the area and in the city at the time.  but this was not exotic dancer caliber. this was an upscale classy lingerie boutique. None like it around.

I always had an eye to notice high potential businesses that stood out and had a unique niche. But it seems that almost all of its money was spent on the business concept and zero on the marketing. These companies never or barely promoted or marketed their business in any way other than relying on walk-ins and word-of-mouth marketing concepts. Most of these faill due to their ” If you build it they will come”  concept.

While that may work to some degree. You cannot just have unique products, concepts, or service that stand out or hard to find pieces that you can’t readily get You have to also market. So one day I took upon myself to go in and ask what they were doing to market? They said that “they were just depended on walking word of mouth and they had done a couple of fashion shows. So I told them I would help them with their marketing and was working on a campaign, as I was gathering photographers, models and locations to shoot an Ad and contacting local and some National  Mens magazines to feature. Yet before I was able to complete it was closed  maybe a month later, I don’t even think it was even really open for a year give or take.

You must Create a marketing plan or hire someone or a team to do it. There are multiple ways to market, social media only works to some degree depending on your product or service.

That’s where I come in.
